Data deletion

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This page explains, step by step, how to delete the data PresenceHub holds about you and how to disconnect your Facebook and Instagram accounts. For full details of what we collect and why, see the Privacy Policy.

1. Revoke a connection in PresenceHub

Use this to stop PresenceHub from accessing a Facebook Page or Instagram account straight away.

  • Sign in to PresenceHub.
  • Open Accounts from the sidebar.
  • Find the Facebook or Instagram connection.
  • Choose Revoke connection and confirm.

We immediately delete the stored access tokens for that connection and its channels and stop publishing to them. For a Facebook connection we also ask Meta to remove the permissions you granted PresenceHub. For an Instagram connection, also complete step 2 to remove PresenceHub from your Instagram settings.

2. Remove PresenceHub on Facebook or Instagram

Use this to remove PresenceHub’s access from Meta’s side and have the data we received from Meta deleted automatically.

  • Facebook: go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, select PresenceHub, and choose Remove.
  • Instagram: go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, select PresenceHub, and choose Remove.
  • When asked, choose to also delete the data PresenceHub received, then confirm.

Meta notifies us and sends us your deletion request. We then automatically delete the access tokens, the account and Page identifiers and profile details, the insights, and the post IDs and publishing responses we received from Meta, as described in Remove PresenceHub from Facebook or Instagram. Meta shows you a confirmation code and a link where you can check the status of your request.

3. Delete your PresenceHub account

To delete your whole PresenceHub account and the personal data associated with it:

  • Email privacy@presencehub.app from the email address you use to sign in to PresenceHub.
  • Say that you want your PresenceHub account deleted. If you only want your Facebook and Instagram data deleted, say so instead.
  • We will confirm your request, and may ask you to verify that you own the account.

We complete account deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. Deleted data is removed from our database backups (Amazon RDS in Mumbai and Cloudflare R2 copies) within a further 30 days. Before you ask us to delete your account, revoke your social connections (step 1) and download anything you want to keep.

4. What is deleted and what is kept

When we delete your account, we delete:

  • your profile, sign-in details, and sessions;
  • workspaces you own, with their drafts, scheduled posts, uploaded media, and channel connections;
  • access tokens, identifiers, profile details, insights, and post data received from Meta; and
  • activity and audit logs linked to your account.

We may keep:

  • records we are required to keep by law, or that we need to resolve disputes or investigate security incidents;
  • a record of your deletion request (including any confirmation code), so that we can show it was completed; and
  • content in workspaces owned by other people, which stays with those workspaces.

Posts already published to Facebook or Instagram remain on those platforms until you delete them there.
